Let's face it, NYC is not an easy place to own a motorcycle. Street parking, potholes, and road debris can take its toll on your bike. This intro course is designed to give you the basic skills required to keep your motorcycle in a safe operating condition, perform simple routine and preventative maintenance and determine when a professional’s touch is required. The 4 hour course will cover basic motorcycle component identification; pre-ride checks; proper tools for your toolbox and what to carry with you when riding; multi-point technical inspections on final drives, forks and tires; basic maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake pad replacements and chain adjustments and general troubleshooting. Taught from an easy to understand lay person's perspective, it is the perfect way to start wrenching. Please note class size is limited to 6 students with a minimum of 4 students.
The instructor, Jason Hodrinsky, is an enthusiast who has been wrenching on motorcycles for over a decade. Never one to shy away from tackling things himself, he started out doing routine maintenance and simple modifications and graduated to full custom builds. After helping numerous friends and acquaintances repair and build their own bikes, Jason has partnered up with MotoGrrl in 2017 to offer classes to teach others how to diagnose and repair their own bikes. Students must be approved by instructor to ensure this is the right level of class for you. If you have quesitons, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
