Chain and Sprocket Workshop

Chain and Sprocket Workshop

Regular price $150.00
This course will teach you the skills you need to maintain and change your bikes’ chain and sprockets, what to look for when troubleshooting, and how to adjust these components. One of the most important parts of your motorcycle is the chain and sprocket. A poorly maintained chain will affect your driving efficiency, making your engine work harder to maintain the same speed, as well as put the rider in danger. Because a worn chain will wear uneven grooves in new sprockets, and old sprockets will cause premature chain wear, these pieces are always changed as a pair.
Covered in this course:
-General tool safety
-Specialty tools associated with the procedures and how to use them
-Gearing your bike to accommodate riding style,
-Component identification
-The types of sprockets and chains, and what role they each play
-How to change these pieces
-how to maintain these pieces and what products to use for this
While this is a beginner course, we recommend that all attendees have at least a basic knowledge of their bike and an understanding of the drive chain.
